About JD Combs
JD is a retired Manufacturing Engineer that spent most of his working career engineering plant or assembly line layouts in the automotive Industry. The last five years though were spent as a Continuous Improvement Coordinator for a cabinet manufacture. Apparently sawdust is addictive because after his retirement in early 2009 he could not get wood out of his system. As result he built a small wood working "hobby" shop to occupy his retirement, that is when he is not visiting his Son and Daughter in law and his five grandchildren. Over the span of his working life he had done a little DIY home improvement including furniture refinishing and kitchen cabinet upgrading but he has had no formal training in the "art" of wood working only a joy in doing it.
JD is happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Janeen, and they just recently celebrated 46 years together. With a wonderful Son and Daughter-in-law and with 5 Grandchildren, a church full of friends and time to spare he leads a full and rewarding life especially when the wood working is included.
